Terms of service
The plain-language rules for using Sharefrost.
Draft for legal review · Pointerflow LLC · Effective date: set when the extension launches
1. Who we are
Sharefrost is made by Pointerflow LLC, a Wyoming, USA limited liability company ("we", "us"). By installing or using Sharefrost, or this website, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you can accept them on its behalf.
2. What Sharefrost does, and what it doesn't promise
Sharefrost helps you hide sensitive information on web pages in Chrome before and during screen sharing. It is a safety aid, not a guarantee. Detection can miss things, pages change, and some content (such as canvas apps or Chrome's own interface) can't be covered automatically. Always check what is on your screen before you share it. The pre-flight check reduces risk; it does not remove your responsibility for what you share.
3. Your account
You can use the free extension without an account. An account is needed for Pro and Team. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Plans, trials and billing
- Free is $0 and has no account requirement.
- Pro is $3 a month or $24 a year. A one-time $49 lifetime option may be offered for a limited launch period.
- Team is $4 per seat a month billed yearly, or $5 billed monthly, with a minimum of 3 seats and a 14-day trial.
- Enterprise is priced by agreement.
Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle's terms apply to your purchase, and Paddle collects sales tax and VAT where required. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Paddle's buyer terms and any refund policy we publish at purchase. When a paid plan ends, your saved rules are kept, and sites beyond the Free limit are paused rather than deleted.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Sharefrost to break the law, to interfere with other people's use of a service, to reverse engineer or resell it, or to attack our servers. Don't use it to hide information in a way that deceives people who have a right to see it.
6. Your data
Your page content never leaves your browser; see the privacy policy. Rules you create belong to you. For team workspaces, the workspace owner controls the shared rule sets and can see the workspace activity log.
7. Our software and your feedback
We own Sharefrost and its brand. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it according to these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Sharefrost reliable but don't promise it will always be available or error free. We may change or end features, and we will give notice in the extension for changes that matter.
9. Liability
Sharefrost is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including information shown during a screen share, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Sharefrost at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
